Friday March 4th, 2022, Midday

Pittville Pump Rooms, East Approach Drive, Cheltenham GL52 3JE

Following in the footsteps of a series of Welsh rugby legends who have been our special guest at this popular annual lunch, we welcome yet another, dual code great Scott Quinnell, to Cheltenham to celebrate St David's Day.

Scott comes from the best possible rugby stock. His father Derek played for Wales and the British Lions and his Uncle is none other than the great Barry John and if that wasnt enough his godfather was Merv "The Swerve" Davies.

Scott made his debut for Llanelli in 1990 and went onto make his Wales debut in 1993 starring in the Five Nations winning side of 1994 before making the move North to sign for Wigan in Rugby League. He enjoyed a successful few years winning leagues and cups with Wigan and appearing for the Wales national side.

He came back to union in 1996 signing for Richmond and later rejoined his beloved Llanelli and played again for Wales during a successful period going onto win 52 caps scoring 11 tries. He was selected for the British and Irish Lions in 1997 and 2001.

Since retiring he has become a successful businessman and also a pundit on Sky Sports as well as making many TV appearances on such programmes as Stella.

The afternoon will include a delicious Welsh themed three course lunch, charity raffle and auction.
